If you bought a boat with a Sailsense system pre-installed by the boatyard or if you want to connect your account to an existing boat (from a family member or a friend), then you simply need to connect your account to that boat! And the process is as simple as entering the boat's unique code onto the right screen. Here is how you can do that :
- Create your account if you have not done it already
- Open the Sailsense app and log into your account
- If it's the first time you connect to the app, you will be presented with a welcome screen. The first option on the screen is to connect to an existing boat. Click on that blue button ;-)
- If you have previously connected to the Sailsense app (and had a look around with some demo data for example) then you need to click on the link at the top left of your screen. This will show you a new screen where you will see a button to "+ Add a boat". Click on that blue button ;-)
- Now you can either scan the QR code using your device's camera or enter the code manually.
- Once the code has been recognized, read and accept our Terms and conditions and decide if you want to share your localisation with the yard
The app will now log you out in order for us to make the magic happen in the background. Simply log in again and, voilà, you have access to your boat!
