When and for how long will charter guests have access to a boat data in the Sailsense Mobile App?

Your customers can benefit from enhanced services before, during and after their rental journey by using the Sailsense Mobile app. Learn more about which data is available to whom and when.

When does the rental code start to be active? and for how long?

From the moment a rental is created in your Fleet Management Dashboard, it automatically generates a unique rental code. When entered in the Sailsense Mobile app, this rental code provides access to the following information:

  • Before the start date & time of the rental, the rental code will only give access to non-sensitive information about the boat. Your customer will be able to consult some general information (such as the boat name, brand, specs and dimensions), some documents (e.g. user manual, recommended routes, technical tutorials ...), some checklists as well as some check-in procedures. He/she will also be able to add personal logs to his timeline. He/she will NOT be able to see any information related to the boat position, the status of its systems, the rental in progress or the people on board. He/she will also not be able to complete the check-in or check-out.
  • During the rental: as soon as the rental starts, your customer will be able to see the boat position, the status of its systems, as well as all the information already available before the start of the rental. He/she will also be able to submit his check-in or check-out and have the possibility to interact with you and your team by logging issues.
  • After the rental: as soon as the rental ends, your customer will not be able to see any information about the boat, its positions or its systems in the Sailsense Mobile App. He will however keep access to his personal timeline with personal logs.
